The Brief: Create 3 stop motion videos celebrating three new Samsung home appliances that were being launched at CES 2018 in Las Vegas. Each video had to celebrate a core feature of the product and the videos had to be ready for publishing in time for CES 2018.
The Challenge: The project was commissioned in the first week of December and with the deadline of having all three stop motion videos ready for publishing just a few weeks away, it had to be all systems go from the start. Stop motion animation videos are intricate works of art and often have inter-leading sequences that come together right at the end. It was therefore important to have a plan of action for each day leading up to the content delivery dates.
However, the real key to success on this project was going to be quickly aligning my creative direction with the client's vision. I worked closely with the amazing teams at Samsung and Group IDD to ensure that we were all on the same page, creatively. Concepts were created and rehashed in a very short period of time and we quickly came up winning storyboards for all three stop motion videos.
